Core Engine Rate

Adjusts the kinetic rendering speed of the simulation logic. 0.5x slows physical time, while higher multipliers fast-forward by skipping visual frames.

Biological Clock

Decouples visual speed from metabolic time. Lower values let blobs move at normal speeds while burning calories and aging much slower, creating a relaxed evolutionary pace.

Sexual Reproduction

When enabled, birthing blobs mix their genetics with the closest living member of their species to form offspring traits.

Toxicity Load

Percentage of food laced with lethal toxins (violet). Contact causes instant cellular death unless the organism possesses high enough intelligence to neutralize it.

Species Mutagen

The probability that cellular mitosis fails and violently rewrites a child's DNA, converting it spontaneously into a different primary species.

Population Constraints

Max Population

Absolute unit cap for the chamber. Mitosis is universally halted when the entity count reaches this hard limit to prevent system failure.

A safety net. If a species' population drops to or below this number, the remaining specimens become immortal to starvation, poison, and predation.

Physical Collisions

When enabled, blobs become solid entities and push each other apart. Warning: Highly CPU intensive at large populations.

Pass Through Same Species

When enabled, blobs only collide with foreign species and harmlessly phase through their own kind.

Collision Safety Limit

Automatically suspends physics calculations if the total population exceeds this number to prevent engine lockup.

Number of kinetic frames a blob remains completely stationary while consuming food before it can begin accelerating again.

Maturity Age

Required biological ticks after birth before a newborn blob becomes fertile and can reproduce.

Mitosis Cooldown

Required biological ticks after giving birth before a parent blob can divide again.

Growth Curve

Avg Velocity

Speed of movement. High velocities exponentially increase metabolic drain but aid in securing scarce food.

Avg Vision

Sight radius for detecting food or prey. Larger vision slightly increases passive energy drain.

Avg Mass

Physical size. Essential for combat and maximum stomach capacity, but extremely expensive to maintain.

Avg Intelligence

Cognitive power. Required to neutralize toxic food and efficiently select high-value prey.

Avg Mitosis Cap

Mitosis Threshold. The minimum energy surplus an organism must reach to trigger cell division.

Avg Clutch Yield

Number of offspring produced per division. Parent energy is divided equally among children.

Avg Predation Rate

The probability the species will actively hunt smaller blobs instead of foraging.

Avg Altruism

Probability to share consumed energy with starving kin. Also scales the physical distribution range.

Avg Caloric Drain (Derived)

Calculated metabolic upkeep paid per biological tick. Heavily scales with Speed, Mass, and Intelligence.
